In July, the Roblox team gathered at our San Mateo HQ for a week of activities that fostered employee connections, created community, and celebrated the technical innovations we’re building to drive the future of our platform and business.

Coming Together and Building Connection
Roblox Week embodies our future of work approach, bringing the company together at key moments to support organic connection, collaboration, and innovation. For many people, this was an opportunity to meet new team members for the first time in person, or get re-connected with colleagues that they had not seen for awhile.
“The first-ever Roblox Week brought together nearly 1,500 Robloxians from around the world to connect and collaborate in person,” said Barbara Messing, Chief People Experience and Marketing Officer. “The positive energy throughout the week was tangible, and our teams left feeling inspired, aligned, and ready to continue innovating.”
Where We’re Headed
During Roblox Week, groups came together for on-sites and team building. We also had a special Town Hall at the Fox Theater in Redwood City, CA where our executive team talked about our exciting innovations and the ambitious technical roadmap that will help us deliver on our vision to reimagine how people come together.
“We have innovated and executed amazing ideas at Roblox, and we have a bright future ahead as we live our ambitious mission to connect a billion people with optimism and civility,” shared Dave Baszucki, Roblox CEO & Founder.
To cap off the events, Robloxians gathered for a summer picnic to recharge and celebrate with colleagues. Employees enjoyed a Friday afternoon filled with food, drinks, and fun before closing out the week.
“We can go out there and envision something completely novel, something that’s never been done before, and then go make it happen and make it happen in a way that’s completely consumable by our community,” Roblox CTO Dan Sturman shared. “We need to continue to respect the community and particularly apply that internally. We have the ability to come together and do bigger things.”
