Lakshya Sen vs Hans-Kristian Vittinghus LIVE
Lakshya Sen has continued his meteoric rise at the senior level and the World No. 9 will take on Denmark’s Hans-Kristian Solberg on Wednesday. Fresh from his Thomas Cup triumph, the 20-year-old will look to build on the momentum and continue his top form heading into the Commonwealth Games scheduled to start late next month.
Sen however faces a stern test against his Danish opponent. While ranked below the Indian ace, Solberg has won both previous meetings against Lakshy Sen. The Indian ace will look to set the record straight and will nonetheless start as one of the favourites for the competition.
PV Sindhu vs Line Christopherson LIVE
PV Sindhu is the lone Indian female in the main draw following Saina Nehwal’s withdrawal. The two time Olympic medallist will face a familiar foe in round 1 in what should be a tricky game for the World No. 4
Sindhu fell short in the semifinals of the Thailand Open last time out and will have her aims on the title this time around. The Indian badminton queen is in top form and has deep runs in all her tours this season, and has a favourable record her opponent.
