One, in particular, is Project Canis Majoris, a new storyline that will expand the universe as a Witcher Open-World RPG. Project Canis Majoris is a spin-off game set in the Witcher universe that is separate from the new saga. However, the project will begin with another installment called “Polaris,” which is currently in pre-production as a trilogy series. Canis Majoris will also be developed by a 3rd party studio of ex-Witcher veterans.
Project Canis Majoris will be a single-player open-world RPG with an immersive story. Others have tried deciphering the project’s name, translating it to the Latin word “Greater Dog.” In addition, this concept is linked to a constellation as one of Orion’s (the god of hunting) dogs. Alongside Canis Majoris is the brightest star, Sirius, which is the name of another tentative project from CD Projekt Red.
